Joint Commission - Pioneer In Quality Award
Pioneers in Quality (PIQ) is a Joint Commission program to assist hospitals on their journey towards electronic clinical quality measure adoption that includes educational programs (e.g., webinars for CEUs), a resource portal, recognition categories, an advisory council, a modified annual report, speaker’s bureau outreach, a peer – to – peer solution exchange, as well as having a strong focus on partnering with hospitals to provide the highest level of quality care for patients and their families.
Healthgrades - 2016 Patient Safety Excellence Award
If you need to be admitted into a hospital, the last thing you would expect is to become unnecessarily sicker. Patient safety measures how well a hospital prevents injuries, infections, and other serious conditions based on 14 serious, potentially preventable adverse events. The Patient Safety Excellence Award recognizes hospitals that have the lowest occurrences of 14 preventable patient safety events. These hospitals are in the top 10% in the nation for patient safety.

Libby Tallent, CNA, at Grace Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center, was named District 1 Nurse Aide of the Year from the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association.
