| Blue Ridge HealthCare welcomes Sarah S. Yousuff, MD, to the Valdese Hospital Active Medical Staff, Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Yousuff has joined the practice of Scott W. Baker, MD at Valdese Hospital Anesthesia Department, 720 Malcolm Blvd., Valdese, NC.
Dr. Yousuff completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas, Austin, TX and obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Her internship in internal medicine and residency training program in anesthesiology were completed at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA.
Prior to joining Blue Ridge HealthCare, Dr. Yousuff was the Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Louisville. She also served as Medical Operations – Mission Support Physician at NASA from 1998 to 2000 and was the Chief of Anesthesiology from 1994-1996 and Director of the Pain Management Clinic at Southwest Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas from 1995-1998.
Dr. Yousuff is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. She is a also member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, International Spinal Injection Society, American Association of Pain Medicine, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Society of Education in Anesthesia, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Aerospace Medical Association, Wilderness Medical Society, Health Information and Management Systems Society.
