| The Blue Ridge HealthCare H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Endure) Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 14, in the Outpatient Surgery Lobby of Grace Hospital. Guest speaker, Judy Ross, RN will discuss “Living Well with Multiple Myeloma.” H.O.P.E. is a service provided by the Blue Ridge HealthCare Cancer Care Centers for patients, their families and friends. In her presentation, Ms. Ross will discuss the signs and symptoms of multiple myeloma, how the disease affects the bones as well as diagnosis and treatment.
Ms. Ross, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University along with her Post Masters Certification in Adult Nurse Practitioner with a focus in Oncology. She is currently the Director of Nursing Practice at Duke University Hospital and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau and North Carolina Nurses Association.
